Aldo’s exposure to infrastructure projects started way early in his life. Coming from a family that own medium to large Civil Construction company specializing in big infrastructure project such as Toll Road projects, Multi Purpose Dams, Ports and Airports throughout Indonesia, Civil work site has become second playground for Aldo. Back in those years, Djohan Teguh - Aldo’s father, often took Aldo during his site visit allowing Aldo to have a first hand experience of work site leadership and to see heavy machineries at work since the age of 8 years of old. Aldo graduated from University of New South Wales (Australia) School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with a Bachelor Degree of Engineering. Right after his graduation he started worked in Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) Sydney Office – a US based engineering consultancy firm. During his tenure in PB, Aldo involved in various infrastructure projects such as Sydney CBD Tunnel project, Overhead Wiring – Sydney Metro and Gas Power Projects. With various roles, he has gained a lot of experience in engineering and construction especially project management. In 2009, Aldo saw an opportunity that Indonesia is still relying the heavy usage of Diesel Fueled Power Plant throughout the country. Indonesian “fossil fueled-heavy” usage costing the government around 100 Trillion IDR in 2008. With small Indonesian Renewable Energy portfolio in 2009, Aldo founded Arkora Hydro with the goal to accelerate and increase Renewable Energy mix in Indonesia through the development and operation of run-off river hydropower in Indonesia and hopefully throughout the world.
